Japan midfielder Daichi Kamada scored a penalty as Eintracht Frankfurt eased past Mainz 3-0 in the German Bundesliga on Saturday, when Takefusa Kubo won a penalty and had an assist in Real Sociedad's draw in Spain.

Kamada, who is leaving Frankfurt at the end of the season, won a penalty and converted from the spot himself for the 18th-minute opener at Deutsche Bank Park.

Aurelio Buta smashed home their second in the 40th minute from a tight angle before Randal Kolo Muani buried the third in the 59th minute following a solo run.

Kamada's goal was his first since the German Cup semifinals on May 3 when he netted in a 3-2 win over Stuttgart, helping his side reach the final on June 3 against Leipzig.

Kubo starred for Sociedad in Spanish La Liga as they drew 2-2 at home against Girona, first drawing a foul inside the box to leave Mikel Oyarzabal to score the fifth-minute opener from the spot.

Kubo then whipped in a superb cross from the right for veteran talisman David Silva to tap in their second in the 24th minute at Reale Arena.

Girona were level before breakthrough goals from Yan Couto and Cristhian Stuani, however, and Sociedad could not find the winner in the second half when Kubo had a fierce drive saved past the hour mark and orchestrated several chances for his teammates.

Paris Olympic hopeful Koki Saito scored his fifth goal of the Dutch Eredivisie the season, side-footing home the fifth-minute opener for Sparta Rotterdam in a 2-1 loss away to Volendam.
