Austria's Chiara Kreuzer and Eva Pinkelnig won the inaugural super team event of the World Cup women's ski jumping in dominant fashion Saturday.

The Austrians racked up 624.6 points to beat second-place Norwegians Thea Minyan Bjoerseth and Anna Odine Stroem by a whopping 35.3 points, or about 18 meters, after six jumps by each of the top eight teams at AlionTek Zao Schanze in Yamagata, Japan.

Germany's Katharina Althaus and Selina Freitag scored 581.8 for third place. The host country's Nozomi Maruyama and Sara Takanashi were sixth with 563.5.

There was no third round for the bottom four of the 12-team competition.
