Japan's cherry blossom season has swept the country this spring, from the opening of the period in the warmer southwest and western areas in late March through to the northeast in April. Here is a collection of video clips showing scenic spots from various parts of the country.
1) A tree in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan, becomes the earliest to begin blooming among Japan's 48 sample Somei Yoshino cherry trees on March 17, 2022, five days earlier than average.
