Nasa Hataoka and Mone Inami have secured spots in the women's golf competition at the Tokyo Olympics, while 2019 British Open winner Hinako Shibuno missed out as selections for Japan's two berths were finalized Monday.

Hataoka, beaten in a playoff at the U.S. Women's Open earlier this month, was the highest among Japanese in the latest world rankings released Monday. She was ranked 11th, with Inami in 27th and Shibuno 31st.
