Japanese entertainer Momoko Kikuchi got married Monday to a senior official at the industry ministry, saying she feels thankful for the support of her children.
The 51-year-old former pop idol only wrote on her blog that she tied the knot with an "ordinary man" she had started dating this year.

But Hiroaki Niihara, 60, director general of the Economic and Industrial Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, told Kyodo News late Monday that he is Kikuchi's new spouse.
Kikuchi married professional golfer Tetsu Nishikawa in 1995, but the couple split in 2012.
