Japan's Naoya Inoue emerged victorious from a 12-round war with Nonito Donaire of the Philippines in the bantamweight final of the World Boxing Super Series.
Dubbed "The Monster" for his big punches, Inoue suffered a cut above his right eye and was forced to fight a cagey tactical battle that kept him ahead on points despite absorbing some punishing blows from his 36-year-old oppponent. The 26-year-old Inoue improved to 19-0 in his pro career.
