Paul McCartney was greeted by about 500 fans upon arrival at Tokyo's Haneda airport on Monday night, ahead of his seventh concert tour in Japan.

The former Beatle is scheduled to perform at Tokyo Dome on Wednesday and Thursday, at Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan -- best known as a venue for major sumo wrestling tournaments -- on Nov. 5, and at Nagoya Dome on Nov. 8.

Clad in a traditional "happi" coat and pumping his first alongside his wife Nancy, McCartney said in Japanese, "saiko!" which means "I feel fantastic."

McCartney released a new album, Egypt Station, in September. The album quickly topped the Billboard chart, the first Paul McCartney album to do so in 36 years.
