Two Swiss skiers who were diagnosed with the norovirus have recovered and will continue to participate in the Pyeongchang Olympics, Swiss ski team doctor German Clenin said Saturday.

Clenin revealed that the skiers have been cleared by the International Olympic Committee to return to competition. They were quarantined for 48 hours before resuming training earlier Saturday.

It was the first cases of the virus among athletes at the games so far. The two athletes -- Fabian Boesch and Elias Ambuehl -- are set to participate in Sunday's men's freestyle skiing slopestyle event.
