Japan's Funa Nakayama finished second and Momiji Nishiya third in the women's event at Street League Skateboarding's last tournament of the season on Sunday.

Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Nakayama scored 20.8 points and gold medalist Nishiya 19.2, but they were beaten by Rayssa Leal of Brazil, who triumphed with 21.1 in Rio de Janeiro to sweep all four events this season.

Japan's Yumeka Oda finished last in the field of eight.

Nakayama scored 14.7 with her two tricks, including the day's best score of 7.8 with her first from six attempts, but Leal's 6.7 with her run proved crucial.

"It was frustrating I couldn't surpass (Leal's) score," said Nakayama. "(But) although I couldn't complete a trick that I thought would have won me the title, it was nice to get a good score with my first trick."

Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Yuto Horigome settled for seventh in the men's event as Portugal's Gustavo Ribeiro triumphed with 27.9 for his second straight win.
