Yuzuru Hanyu's first ice show will be held in Japan in November and December, the two-time Olympic figure skating gold medalist said Friday.
The show he produces and performs in, called "Prologue," is scheduled for Nov. 4-5 in Yokohama and Dec. 2-3 in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture.
"I planned this for the audience to feel my history and skating life," Hanyu said. "For the first time, I'll do everything by myself. I hope a variety of stories will follow after this."

The international star announced his retirement from competition in July after missing out on the medals with a fourth-place finish at the Beijing Olympics earlier in the year.
Hanyu said during his retirement press conference that he will continue on his quest for the elusive quadruple axel as a professional exhibition skater.
In mid-September, 17-year-old American Ilia Malinin made figure skating history at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic in Lake Placid, New York by landing the first quad axel jump in competition.
Hanyu won back-to-back Olympic gold medals in 2014 in Sochi, Russia, and in 2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea. He also earned gold at the world championships in 2014 and 2017.
