Olympic champion Yuto Horigome led a Japanese sweep of the men's skateboard street podium Sunday at X Games Chiba, clinching the title ahead of compatriots Daiki Ikeda and Sora Shirai.

The 23-year-old Horigome, who became the first Olympic skateboarding gold medalist, at last summer's Tokyo Games, secured his second career X Games gold on the final day of the three-day extreme sports event at Zozo Marine Stadium.

Fifteen-year-old Ikeda took silver ahead of Olympian Shirai, 20, who held off Brazil's Lucas Rabelo for the final spot on the podium.

In the women's street final, Japan's Olympic bronze medalist Funa Nakayama was runner-up to Brazil's first-time champion Rayssa Leal, 14, who took silver at the Tokyo Games.

Australian Chloe Covell rounded out the podium ahead of Japanese 15-year-old Yumeko Oda, while last year's world champion Aori Nishimura was eighth.

American Jagger Eaton won the men's skateboard park final, with Japan's Yuro Nagahara and Kensuke Sasaoka fourth and seventh, respectively.

Tokyo Olympics champion Sakura Yosozumi led a Japan medal sweep in women's skateboard park on Saturday, with Olympic silver medalist Cocona Hiraki second and Mami Tezuka third.
