South Korean President Moon Jae In expressed concern over the series of missile launches by North Korea ahead of South Korea's presidential election in March, including a suspected ballistic missile fired Tuesday morning, according to his spokeswoman.

Meanwhile, senior South Korean and Japanese diplomats held phone talks over the latest missile launch and agreed to continue close communication regarding North Korea, according to the South Korean Foreign Ministry.
