At least three people were killed after a magnitude 4.8 earthquake hit the Indonesian resort island of Bali early Saturday morning, local authorities said.

According to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency, seven others were seriously injured.
The Jakarta-based Meteorological, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said the quake that occurred at 4:18 a.m. local time was focused at a depth of 10 kilometers.
No tsunami alert was issued. However, people were advised to remain alert and prepared for potential aftershocks.
