Japan's Hideki Matsuyama was unable to recreate his Masters magic on his return to tour at the AT&T Byron Nelson, finishing Sunday's final round tied for 39th at 12-under, 13 strokes behind winner K.H. Lee of South Korea.

Lee shot a 6-under 66 on the last day at the rain-soaked TPC Craig Ranch to finish 25-under for the tournament and claim his first PGA Tour victory, finishing three strokes ahead of third-round leader Sam Burns of the United States.

Satoshi Kodaira was the strongest performer among the Japanese, tying for 13th with three other players. The world No. 316 carded rounds of 67, 71, 66, and 67 to finish 17-under.

Matsuyama, playing for the first time since becoming the first Japanese man to win a major last month, shot his second 70 of the week on Sunday.

"I did nothing right (today)," said Matsuyama, who mustered just four birdies against two bogeys.

"My putting was awful. I thought I'd have more luck with my driver but I was wayward from the tee. I need more practice. The best thing that came out of this week is the fact I made the cut despite all that," he said.

The final round was delayed by more than two hours due to heavy rain and lightning.

American Dustin Johnson kept a firm hold on the No. 1 spot in the World Golf Ranking, released Monday, while Matsuyama remained 15th.

Japan's Rikuya Hoshino, who won his second title of the year on the Japanese tour at last week's Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup, jumped 31 places to 69th.
