The cub, named Ho-chan, was initially wary when first introduced to her enclosure, but curiosity eventually outweighed her fears and she began to venture away from her mother, Kenji Aburaya, a zookeeper in charge of the bears, said at a media preview Monday.

Reservations are required to enter the zoo during Japan's spring break season up to April 9, and on weekends.
