- The Lotte Marines announced Tuesday that 11 top-team players and staff have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, but said an evening game the same day against the Orix Buffaloes will go ahead as planned.
- U.S. President Donald Trump will be discharged from the hospital later Monday and return to the White House where he will continue to receive coronavirus treatment, his medical team said, noting that he may not be "entirely out of the woods yet."
- Malaysian budget airline AirAsia Group will pull out of the Japanese market, as the coronavirus pandemic is likely to keep a lid on demand for air travel, its Japanese unit said Monday.

- Japan and South Korea plan to agree as early as this week on the resumption of business trips between the two countries, a measure the two governments halted in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic, according to Japanese government sources.
- Renowned Japanese designer Kenzo Takada, who made a name for himself in the global fashion world, died Sunday in a hospital near Paris after being infected with the novel coronavirus, his spokesperson said. He was 81.
- U.S. President Donald Trump, who has been hospitalized for treatment for the novel coronavirus, is doing well and could be discharged as early as Monday if his condition remains stable, his medical team said Sunday.
