TOKYO - The following are updates on major shops, amusement parks and other facilities in Tokyo and across Japan as many businesses reopened following the complete lifting of the country's state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic.

SHOPS, DEPARTMENT STORES, EATERIES

Aeon - All Aeon Mall shopping facilities in Tokyo and other prefectures have reopened.  

Bic Camera - Bic Camera branches nationwide are open, with the exceptions of branches at Narita International Airport, Haneda airport, and Chubu Centrair International Airport. Customers must wear face masks (infants and preschoolers are exempt).

Big Echo -  Big Echo will resume business at all remaining karaoke shops that had been closed in Tokyo starting June 12, in addition to stores that have already reopened nationwide.

Daimaru, Matsuzakaya - Daimaru and Matsuzakaya department stores nationwide have reopened. 

H.I.S. - Travel agency H.I.S. has reopened some of its branches and call centers. 

Ito Yokado - Ito Yokado supermarkets nationwide are open and back to normal business hours. Ito Yokado's Ario shopping malls in Tokyo and neighrboing prefectures have reopened. 

Update! Japan Post - Post offices in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures will in principle return to normal opening hours from July 6. 

Keio - Keio department stores have reopened.

LaLaport - LaLaport shopping malls, including in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures, have reopened.

Lumine - Lumine shopping centers in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures have reopened.

Marui - Marui department stores in Tokyo and elsewhere have reopened.

Matsuya - Matsuya department stores have reopened.

McDonald's - Eat-in space at McDonald's shops in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures have started to reopen.

Mitsukoshi, Isetan - Mitsukoshi and Isetan department stores have reopened.

Odakyu - Odakyu department stores have reopened.

Parco - Parco shopping malls nationwide have reopened.

Round One - All Round1 indoor leisure facilities nationwide have reopened.

Seibu, Sogo - All Seibu and Sogo department stores nationwide have reopened. 

Shibuya 109 - Fashion building Shibuya 109 has reopened. Visitors must wear face masks. 

Starbucks - Starbucks shops nationwide, including in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures, have reopened. Eat-in space will be available while observing social distancing. 

Takashimaya - All Takashimaya department stores have reopened.

Tipness - All Tipness fitness gyms nationwide have reopened.

Tobu - Tobu department stores have reopened.

Toho Cinemas - 67 Toho Cinemas theaters nationwide have reopened.

Tokyu - All Tokyu department stores have reopened.

Tully's Coffee - Almost all Tully's Coffee shops have reopened, except six stores in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures that remain closed until further notice.

Uniqlo - Uniqlo stores in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures are open, except at Haneda airport.

Yamada Denki - Yamada Denki stores nationwide are open.

Yodobashi Camera - Yodobashi Camera stores in Tokyo and neighboring prefectures are open. 


 

AMUSEMENT PARKS, MUSEUMS, ZOOS

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea – Both parks will reopen July 1. Tickets must be purchased online in advance and visitors are required to wear face masks. Some facilities and services will remain unavailable until further notice.

Universal Studios JapanJune 19 onwards: Holders of annual pass or other studio pass who live in one of the six prefectures in the Kansai area. Visitors must wear face masks at all times.

Legoland Japan – Open 4 days a week (Fri.-Mon.), with some attractions closed until further notice. Visitors are asked to wear face masks. 

Sanrio PurolandJuly 20 onwards: Visitors must purchase ticket and reserve admission slot in advance. Visitors must wear face masks. 

Update! Huis Ten Bosch – Indoor facilities that had remained closed will reopen from July 1. Visitors must wear face masks at all times (children under 2 years old are exempt)

Ghibli Museum – Closed until further notice. 

Snoopy Museum Tokyo – Reopened on June 5. Tickets must be purchased online in advance and visitors are required to wear face masks. 

Japan Olympic Museum – Reopened on June 23; admission slot must be reserved online in advance. Visitors must wear face masks.  

Kyoto International Manga Museum – Reopened. Visitors must wear face masks.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum – Reopened on June 1; visitors are asked to wear face masks.  

The Railway Museum – Reopened on June 10; advance ticket purchase required. Visitors aged 6 or above must wear face masks.

Kyoto Railway Museum – Reopened June 15; advance ticket purchase required. Some interactive exhibits, such as driving simulators, are closed until further notice. Visitors must wear face masks. 

Update! Yokohama Anpanman Children's Museum  – Reopened June 22; advance ticket purchase online required. 

Tokyo Skytree – Reopened June 1. Visitors are required to wear face masks (infants and preschoolers are exempt).

Update! Roppongi Hills (Mori Art Museum, Tokyo City View, Mori Arts Center Gallery) – Tokyo City View reopened June 6, advance ticket purchase required. Visitors must wear face masks. Mori Arts Center Gallery scheduled to reopen July 15 and Mori Art Museum to reopen July 31.

Abeno Harukas (Harukas Observatory, Abeno Harukas Art Museum) – Reopened. 

Ueno Zoological Gardens – Reopened June 23, with admission limited to 4,000 visitors per day. Visitors must reserve admission slot in advance either by phone or online.

Tokyo Sea Life Park – Reopened June 23, with admission limited to 3,000 visitors per day. Visitors must reserve admission slot in advance either by phone or online.

Sunshine Aquarium – Reopened June 8, some performances are canceled until further notice; ticket holders must obtain a numbered ticket for admission in advance online or at the site due to crowd control measures. Visitors are required to wear face masks (children under 4 are exempt).  

Aqua Park Shinagawa – Reopened June 1; some performances and attractions are canceled until further notice.

Sumida Aquarium – Reopened June 15. Visitors aged 3 and above must wear face masks.

Enoshima Aquarium – Reopened May 31; some performances are canceled until further notice; visitors are required to wear face masks (children under 2 are exempt; parental discretion with regard to preschoolers). 

Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan – Reopened June 1; online pre-booking required for admission. 

Sea Paradise Yokohama Hakkeijima – Reopened June 1; some performances and attractions are canceled until further notice. 

Kobe Animal Kingdom – Reopened May 29; visitors are required to wear face masks (parents/guardians are requested to take appropriate measures with regard to infants and preschoolers).

Osaka Tennoji Zoo – Open; visitors are asked to register with the Osaka COVID-19 Tracing System via QR code. 

Adventure World – Open, advance ticket purchase online required; visitors aged 4 and above must wear face masks.

Update! Sapporo Maruyama Zoo – Indoor facilities that had been closed will reopen July 1. Visitors must wear face masks (chidlren under 2 are exempt).
