Australia international keeper Mitchell Langerak has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, his J-League first-division club Nagoya Grampus said Sunday.

The 31-year-old Langerak, who has reported no symptoms, is the second Grampus player known to be infected, following striker Mu Kanazaki, who received a positive test result on Tuesday.

The club responded by having 19 players deemed to have had close contact with Kanazaki tested. On Saturday, Grampus announced it had sent players home and would disinfect team facilities in the wake of the first positive test, while another 26 individuals underwent tests at their request.

Langerak, who joined Grampus in January 2018, produced the only new positive test result.

In March, Vissel Kobe defender Gotoku Sakai tested positive for the virus, but he has resumed practicing with teammates after making a full recovery.

The J-League top flight is set to resume behind closed doors on July 4 following a roughly four-month suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.
