BEIJING - The head of a hospital in Wuhan, the central Chinese city at the center of the coronavirus outbreak, died Tuesday of pneumonia caused by the new virus, state TV reported.

The director of Wuchang Hospital is believed to have contracted the virus while treating pneumonia patients.

The death was reported by China Central Television.
