Former under-20 international Para joins Sendai from Brazilian second-tier side Botafogo. The 24-year-old left-back has played his entire professional career in his home country.

"It's a great honor to join Vegalta Sendai. I am highly motivated and will do everything I can to help the club achieve its goals," he said in a statement on the club website.

Vegalta acquired Guedes on loan from Portuguese first-division side Vitoria SC. The 25-year-old, who also represented his country at youth level, has seen limited action for Vitoria in the 2019-2020 season.

Meanwhile, Sendai is bidding farewell to another Brazilian, forward Ramon Lopes, upon the expiry of his contract.

Sendai finished the 2019 J-League season in 11th place with 12 wins, five draws and 17 losses.
