Norwegian first-division club Stabaek said Monday they have acquired Japanese forward Kosuke Kinoshita from Sint-Truiden in the Belgian top flight.
The 24-year-old scored two goals in seven games last season for Japanese-owned Sint-Truiden following a mid-season move from Swedish second-division side Halmstad.
Standing 1.9 meters, Kinoshita plays primarily as a center-forward but has also spent time on both wings.
A product of the Yokohama FC youth academy, he left Japan to join German club Freiburg's under-19 side in 2013.
The Tokyo native will reunite at Stabaek with Swedish manager Jan Jonsson, for whom he previously played at Halmstad. Jonsson coached Shimizu S-Pulse in the J-League from 2018 to 2019 following a season at the helm of Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
