A western Japan airport temporarily closed one of its runways Thursday after an airplane stalled on the tarmac following landing, the operator said.

The All Nippon Airways Co. airplane stalled around 7:30 a.m. after landing at Osaka airport, north of Osaka, from Tokyo's Haneda airport. The runway was reopened 40 minutes later.

None of the 118 passengers aboard the plane was injured or complained of health problems, the airline said.

The airline said it is working on getting to the bottom of the incident but has so far detected no major abnormalities such as an oil leak.
