Japan's Kento Momota clinched the men's singles title at the Denmark Open on Sunday, defeating Taiwan's Chou Tien-chen in a three-game final.

Momota, who became the first Japanese man to top the world rankings in September, beat Chou 22-20, 16-21, 21-15 in the BWF Super 750 final at Odense Sports Park in Denmark. The second-seeded Japanese shuttler persevered in the decider after winning 10 of the last 12 points.
