Tens of thousands of North Korean youths marched holding torches on Monday evening to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the country's founding.

The high school and university students, shouting "hooray," used their torches to form such slogans as "Economic Construction" and "Great Victory, Simultaneous Development."

In April, the ruling Worker's Party of Korea, headed by Kim Jong Un, declared the victory of the nation's policy of "simultaneous development" of nuclear weapons and the economy, emphasizing that North Korea will put emphasis on economic improvement.
