U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Singapore on Sunday for his upcoming historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Air Force One landed at Paya Lebar Air Base, a military facility in the east of the island, around 8:30 p.m. Singapore time as scheduled.

Trump and Kim are slated to meet Tuesday on Singapore's southern island of Sentosa for the first-ever summit between the United States and North Korea, with the focus on whether they will alleviate security tensions and eliminate the threat of war.
