The following is the schedule for major events during the inter-Korean summit on Friday announced by the South Korean government.

Around 9:30 a.m. -- South Korean President Moon Jae In will greet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as he crosses the Military Demarcation Line to the south in the truce village of Panmunjeom.

Around 9:40 a.m. -- An official welcoming ceremony will be held at a square between the Freedom House and the Peace House on the South Korean side of Panmunjeom, with the two leaders inspecting a South Korean honor guard. Kim will sign a guest book on the first floor of the Peace House and pose for a commemorative picture with Moon.

10:30 a.m. -- The inter-Korean summit will begin in a conference room on the second floor of the Peace House.

Time unknown -- Moon, Kim will have lunch separately and take a break.

Time unknown -- The two leaders will jointly plant a commemorative pine tree on the demarcation line and take a stroll in the area.

Time unknown -- The inter-Korean summit will resume.

Time unknown -- The two leaders will sign a joint declaration and announce it.

6:30 p.m. -- A banquet will be held on the third floor of the Peace House.

Time unknown -- A farewell ceremony will be held for Kim.
