A Japanese Air Self-Defense Force fighter jet made an emergency landing Monday at a U.S. air base in the southern island prefecture of Okinawa, but no one was injured in the incident, according to the ASDF.

The F-15 fighter jet made the landing at the U.S. Kadena Air Base around 1:50 p.m. after a problem was detected in its hydraulic system, it said. The plane was engaging in a flight exercise at that time.

The incident follows a series of accidents and emergency landings involving U.S. military aircraft in Okinawa, which hosts the bulk of U.S. military facilities in Japan.
