Tokyo-based creative production team TOKYO teamed up with global dance duo AyaBambi and projection mapping / CG specialists ‘WOW’ for their first original project, aiming to introduce to the world a new level in creative standards.  The video project, ‘INORI PRAYER’, employed the use of a new technology, high-speed projector developed by the University of Tokyo’s Ishikawa Watanabe Laboratory.

TOKYO Original Vol.1 ‘INORI PRAYER’ overview

The video started out as an idea from TOKYO director Eiji Tanigawa (谷川 英司); a musical composition based around the theme of ‘life’.  Inspired by the composition, WOW’s Asai Nobuya (浅井 宣通), and CG director Shingo Abe (阿部 伸吾) came in to create visuals and handle progaming.

AyaBambi’s Ayo Sato put together the video’s choreography and TOKYO’s creative team, lead by Tanigawa, brought the video to completion.

Through the video, the project aim was to bring together both creators and researchers in order to show the world the kind of creation that reaches standards previously unrealised.
