Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat South Korea's Daegu FC 2-0 in Asian Champions League Group F on Wednesday following first-half goals from Douglas Vieira and Daiki Watari.

The win continues a strong run of form for Hiroshi Jofuku's men, who recently reclaimed top spot in the J-League after four straight wins.

In Group H, Kawasaki Frontale lost 1-0 away to Ulsan Hyundai after conceding in stoppage time.

ACL newcomers Daegu came to Edion Stadium looking to stay unbeaten in the tournament, but quickly found themselves under pressure.

Former Sweden international Emil Salomonsson missed early for the hosts with a deflected shot from close range, but they went ahead almost immediately afterward.

Vieira scored from the spot in the 10th minute after Daegu midfielder Park Han Bin was penalized for a foul on Yuki Nogami.

The Brazilian striker found the back of the net despite Daegu keeper Cho Hyun Woo guessing the right direction.

Watari added the second in the 26th minute, when he dribbled into the left side of a crowded box before beating Cho with a perfectly curled shot across goal.

Salomonsson found 18-year-old midfielder Shunki Higashi in front of goal with a cross early in the second half, but the youngster sent his volley wide.

The K-League club showed more fight following the break, with halftime substitute Edgar heading wide after fellow Brazilian Cesinha had a shot deflected out for a corner.

Despite the visitors' stronger second-half performance, Sanfrecce keeper Keisuke Osako was barely troubled and finished the match without having to stop a single shot on target.

Sanfrecce finished the match with 10 men after Yusuke Minagawa received his second yellow card for an 89th-minute foul.

After opening their ACL campaign with a loss to Guangzhou Evergrande, Sanfrecce now have six points on back-to-back wins.

At Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium, Frontale looked set to secure a point on the road before Ulsan defender Kim Su An headed the winner in the 91st minute.

Following a break down the right, wing-back Kim Tae Hwan crossed to the streaking Kim Su An, who beat Frontale keeper Jung Sung Ryong from close range.

The back-to-back J-League champions had looked the more impressive side for much of the match, leading the shot count 12-5, but were unable to find a way through the Ulsan defense.
