Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda scored his second A-League goal in Melbourne Victory's 4-1 home win over the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday.

Honda, who signed with Melbourne this summer, netted the opener in the 30th minute at AAMI Park in Australia before goals by James Troisi and Corey Brown made it 3-0 before the break.

The visitors got on the scoreboard with substitute Mario Shabow's second-half goal, but Joshua Hope netted Melbourne's fourth.

The 32-year-old Honda, who retired from senior international duties following this year's World Cup in Russia, scored his first A-League goal in his debut last month.
