Japan's Ikuma Horishima won his third straight Freestyle Skiing World Cup meet Sunday after sweeping the men's moguls events held at Lake Tazawa ski resort in Akita Prefecture.

Horishima, who finished 11th at the Pyeongchang Winter Games, edged out Olympic champion Mikael Kingsbury of Canada for the third straight time to win the dual moguls event on the final day of the two-day meet.

Dmitriy Reikherd of Kazakhstan finished third, and Japan's Goshin Fujiki and Sho Endo were further back in sixth and seventh, respectively.

The 20-year-old started his victory run in January, where he ended Kingsbury's record 13-straight win streak at the World Cup event in Mont-Tremblant, Canada.
