The Russian Bobsleigh Federation announced Friday that Olympic Athlete from Russia Nadezha Sergeeva tested positive for a banned substance in the second case of an athlete failing a doping test at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Sergeeva, who finished 12th in the two-woman bobsleigh, had a negative result on Feb. 13 but tested positive for a heart drug on Feb. 18. The federation said that the team's doctor did not prescribe the drug to the athlete.

It was the second doping confirmation at this Winter Games of a Russian athlete, and is expected to affect a decision to allow Russia's flag at Sunday's closing ceremony, which the International Olympic Committee will discuss Saturday.

With Russia's national Olympic committee currently banished from the Olympic Games because of serious doping violations, only Russian athletes with no history of doping were invited to compete as Olympic athletes from Russia.

Aleksandr Krushelnitckii, the curler who failed a drug test while representing the Olympic Athlete from Russia team at the Pyeongchang Olympics, had his bronze medal result disqualified by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Thursday.

Krushelnitckii was found guilty of an anti-doping rule violation after he was discovered with meldonium in his body, a substance that increases blood flow. He and mixed-doubles curling partner Anastasia Bryzgalova had beaten a Norwegian pair in the bronze medal match at the games in South Korea.
